Blind obedience, what any lemming can appreciate. You should never buy into something, without looking into it first. This is a lesson learned in blood, sweat, and tears. Life is full of decisions. To limit wasted time, we must research almost anything to see if it will indeed be worth our precious time and benefit.
I can’t remember the date, but I want to say it was around 2011 I tried a vegan/vegetarian diet, after some research. As you all know by now, I come from a fitness background. I have to tell you, I saw athletes, celebrities, youtube influencers, and the likes commenting on their success with this diet. How could so many people be achieving success without a decent amount of protein? I had to try it myself. What did I have to lose?
What I noticed before anything, was the fact that my food choices were very limited! I mean limited. Sure, at times I would say some meals stretched the limit and hit vegetarian levels of classification, but overall, I stayed with the vegan choices for the most part.
Something that was very apparent through the diet was me not hitting my calories. This could be a benefit for some, but it wasn’t in my case. I was only trying to consume 1800-200 calories in the first place. That would be a hell of a lot of beans, tofu, and veggies! Know what I mean? Obviously, rumble guts and lethargy came into play through the consumption of large amounts of cruciferous food choices mixed with beans at a lower calorie count to boot. Staying active was definitely becoming more difficult than it had been on my normal adjusted “keto” type diet.
I also found myself losing energy through a lack of testosterone. If I had to guess without bloodwork, testosterone was plummeting, and estrogen was elevating. This was hypothesized due to an overall multitude of physical unwellness symptoms. Lowered strength, lethargy, and less energy to name a few. Since I led a very active lifestyle, I couldn’t imagine keeping this diet up for the long term. The stressors in my body were building up way too quickly. Sure, I could have supplemented but at that point, I would be diverting from the diet anyway.
Let’s look at some of the reasons why people would even try this “diet.” One reason is that you are saving the animals, right? Well, not technically. If we look at crops that are consumed mostly for a vegan/vegetarian diet, we see the killing off of many animals. Deer will not run rampant through any crop only to destroy it and cost the farmer loads of money. They will be dealt with accordingly. Another factor is the chemicals that kill many animals too. Organic or not, certain chemicals are used that kill off many animals of all kinds. Lastly, we can see many animals killed or maimed from the harvesting process as well. These are only a few of the counterarguments you rarely hear brought up by the vegans promoting saving the animals through this lifestyle.
On that note of saving the animals, if you promote a vegan/vegetarian lifestyle wouldn’t it be appropriate to have no animal-based or tested products at all in your possession? What about that leather belt, leather boots, or that down coat? It just doesn’t make sense to promote a lifestyle choice while “voiding” those claimed benefits through hypocrisy.
The animal argument for veganism/vegetarianism is probably the main one as well as “protecting” the environment. I won’t get too far into the “green” reasons why vegans/vegetarians promote their diet here. It becomes redundant with the counterarguments already presented pertaining to saving the animals. You can easily deduce how in many ways the foods most consumed by vegans/vegetarians take up just as much room as livestock and cause just as much environmental damage if not more. So, yeah that’s that. Check it out for yourself.
As a quick sidenote, plants of all kinds are known to be toxic to a certain level. Yes, even the edible ones. I believe plants to be a root cause of cellular damage through “free radicals.” A hypothesis maybe, but I have done my fair amount of research, and experimented myself. Plants were created with toxins as a defense measure as they cannot physically fight predators off like an animal can. What better deterrent than to poison a predator, saving the rest at the sacrifice of few! Very clever design indeed. Makes sense to me. So, if this toxin resides in plants why even eat them if another food source is available in the first place? Albeit low toxicity or high. Not to mention, a whole diet based on “plants.”
In my opinion, to arrive at the smoking gun of anything pushed mainstream bordering on religion, you have to ask, “who is financially to gain?” What costs more to take care of? The growing animal with quite a decent amount of weight, or a crop of beans? In not so many words, what costs more to produce the end product? If you guessed the animals, you would be correct! Why not push a diet that focuses on cheap plant-based foods, to produce much more demand and income with less work? Do you know who owns more private farmland than anyone in the U.S? Bill Gates! What a shocker! Just follow the breadcrumbs folks. This may not mean much to some, but others will start understanding more and more what is going on here. This guy is in the middle of absolutely every “pushed” machination.
While it is out there to find, there is a quiet war on meat-based products. Shutdowns of plants, new “safety” measures implemented, as well as other measures quickly pricing many out of the meat market. I know you have seen the sticker price or heard about the meat costs. Trust me, this isn’t because the meat is sitting in shipping containers somewhere! So yeah, it is due to the above regulations and restrictions being tightened more and more. Politicians pushing for “green” bills are helping impose more restrictions on meat-based facilities while fattening their pockets from those involved at the top.
This as with other posts are for informative purposes only. The rest of the research is up to you the reader. The purpose here as always is truth. You will never arrive at truth with blind obedience to any subject. When anything is being pushed so hard that it has become a religion of sorts, it is time to step away and analyze the situation. You will always find cracks in the armor if you start looking closely at a “pushed” idea, product, etc. It sounds silly, but in the end, we are what we eat. If you eat a lot of muscle, you will indeed have the muscle to lead a healthy active lifestyle. If you eat mostly plants you will be like a plant immobile, just waving in the wind, blown over with the breeze. If you eat tons of sugar, you will surely be like a cake, plump and sweet! I hope this has been healthy food for thought. Till next time…
