How many of you vote? If I had to guess I would say quite a few of you. If I asked you why you vote, you would probably give me some bullshit about it being your duty and troops have died for that right. I may even get some people addressing how women and other races weren’t allowed to vote and I should be thankful right? Well, I say bullshit.
Let me ask you another question. If you had a new neighbor move in next to you and you had greeted them, made small talk, would you invite them into your house to give your family a set of rules to live by? I’m guessing no you wouldn’t. Can you tell me how this is any different than voting for someone you don’t know at all? Only seen some commercials and debates here or there. Perhaps they are on your side of the left-right paradigm? Well, geez that’s justification you ignorant fool.
The facts are that these people pass laws on your behalf without so much as sending you a damn piece of mail about it. Not unlike the neighbor analogy above. Oh yeah, you’re so important that when you disagree with the one law that gets brought up out of 99 you didn’t know about, that you are going to get your congressman on it! Yeah, he is going to call you in for a meeting and you are going to get this squashed Joe Blue Collar! Let me ask you something… Are you out of your damn mind? Come back to reality, please.
This is a rough estimation of how voting worked in the old days, but here we go. The head of the household, usually the patriarch would meet at the town hall with the other head of households to decide on “laws” that may be set for the townspeople. So basically, everyone had a voice to some degree at the behest of one of the household members. I would say this is definitely a lot better than no input at all like the present day. Do you think these politicians are looking out for you? It’s possible before corruption sets in but highly unlikely.
Let me give you another example here. Let’s say you are voting on a pollution law to be passed. “Super Company” is dumping too much chemical waste locally and in turn, poisoning the local water supply. This contamination is causing illness and disease amongst the local populace. Now behind the scenes, an individual approaches you with an envelope full of 100- dollar bills to the tune of say 15K. You are told this is a prepayment to nudge your vote in the “right” direction. After the vote has been vetoed to clean up the pollution of the company you will receive another envelope of 20K! Now, what is stronger in most people, their morals or their earthly wealth?
I hope you get the picture here. Just because you can vote doesn’t mean you have freedom. Wake up, man! This is nothing more than mind games played on the populace hoping like hell you’ll buy it hook, line, and sinker. It’s a damn façade! Sure, there are times, when in the workplace or in the home you may take a vote to enact a rule or make a decision. That is great and that makes sense. We have also seen voting fraud over the years as well. Individuals filling out multiple ballots, etc. This is nothing more than smoke and mirrors to make people fight against each other once again.
The people behind the scenes pulling the strings are putting in power, whom they want in power. Make no mistakes about it! It is predetermined, period. You likely will never know who these individuals are, and they will never reveal themselves. The group of these very powerful people are the ones creating most major laws, to begin with.
I am not sending the message for you not to vote but trying to make you critically think about processes that are part of our lives. There are times when momentum is gained on changing the status quo. For the good and sometimes the bad. We have to differentiate between that and jump when it’s for the best. The voting system is broken. Using electronic machines, to begin with, in and of itself is a major flaw. You don’t think those numbers can be manipulated? Again, it doesn’t really matter because the power brokers are the ones calling the shots. We are meant to be in a perpetual state of bickering and fighting with each other when the system is the issue.
In closing, freedom is a state of mind and what you believe it is. I incur you to dig deep into that mind of yours and ask yourself what is freedom to me? I know you will have an answer for that, and it will change what you do in life to live happier and healthier. The death grip on our freedom has been slowly loosening from the tension on the other end but stay strong and pull some of that rope back.
